The 2nd Plenary Meeting of Space It Up! Spoke 6 took place on 22-23 June 2026 at Castello del Valentino in Turin, bringing together researchers from across the Spoke to review ongoing activities, share project progress, and strengthen scientific collaboration.
Dedicated to Protection of Critical Infrastructures and Space Weather, Spoke 6 plays a key role in advancing research and innovation aimed at improving the resilience of space systems and critical infrastructures against space weather events.
Over the course of two days, participants presented the latest developments across the Spoke through technical presentations, poster sessions, and collaborative discussions. The programme covered a broad range of research topics, including enabling science, innovative space architectures, space weather forecasting and nowcasting techniques, experimental activities, and inter-Spoke collaborations.
The plenary meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge, discuss future research directions, and strengthen cooperation among the research teams involved in the project. These discussions will contribute to the next phase of Spoke 6 activities, supporting the development of innovative solutions to address the challenges posed by space weather and enhance the protection of critical infrastructures.
The event reaffirmed the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in achieving the objectives of Space It Up!, while reinforcing a shared vision for the future of space research and innovation in Italy.
