Space It Up S.C.a.r.l. was originally established to manage and coordinate the homonymous project funded by the Italian Space Agency. While this remains its core operational mandate, the long-term objective is to expand its portfolio of research and development initiatives and to consolidate its role as a stable coordination platform for the national space ecosystem.

The mission of Space It Up S.C.a.r.l. is to coordinate its partners, foster structured collaboration among universities, research centres and industry, and support the submission of proposals to national and international funding programmes. By operating as a unified operational hub, the consortium strengthens the competitiveness of the Italian space ecosystem and ensures that the country’s scientific and technological capabilities are effectively represented in major strategic opportunities.

Space It Up S.C.a.r.l. also aims to serve as a national platform capable of aligning and managing future initiatives across multiple technological domains. Through this integrated structure, the organisation intends to provide Italy with a cohesive response to the growing global demand for innovation in areas such as space exploration, autonomous and collaborative robotics, extraterrestrial habitats, Earth observation and human spaceflight.
