Hello
Margherita Righini
Technical Project Manager
About Me
I am an expert researcher in the field of Earth Sciences, specializing in Earth Observation and Remote Sensing for environmental monitoring and natural hazard mitigation. I hold a PhD in Earth Science from the University of Padova, with a specialization in Fluvial Geomorphology and Remote Sensing.
My professional career is characterized by extensive experience in the analysis and processing of multi-sensor satellite data to support environmental protection, land and risk management, and emergency response. From 2019 to 2024, I worked as a researcher and collaborator at the University School for Advanced Studies IUSS Pavia, taking on coordination roles and serving as a key contributor to numerous high-level research initiatives.
I have actively collaborated on strategic programs funded by the Italian Space Agency (ASI), the Lombardy Region, the European H2020 program, and the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). In addition to my research, I served as a Contract Professor at the University of Pavia from 2020 to 2024, lecturing on Hydromorphology within the international "Civil Engineering for Mitigation of Risk from Natural Hazards" (HYRIS) program.
