Hello
Mirco Bartolomei
Technical Project Manager
About Me
I am currently involved in the scientific coordination and project management activities within Space It Up!. I started contributing to the project as a collaborator in April 2025 and have been formally employed since November 2025. In this role, I support collaboration across partners, cross-domain integration, and the valorization of research results.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Perugia in 2020 and my Master’s degree in Management Engineering from Politecnico di Torino in 2022. In January 2026, I obtained my PhD in Management, Production and Design at Politecnico di Torino.

My doctoral research was co-financed and carried out in close collaboration with Leonardo S.p.A. and focused on digital and robotic solutions for high human-intensive assembly environments. It addressed topics such as collaborative robotics, cognitive assistance systems, digital work instructions, and mental workload assessment, with particular relevance for advanced aerospace and space-related manufacturing contexts.

In 2024, I spent six months as a visiting researcher at the Sheffield Robotics Group, University of Sheffield, where I further developed my research interests in robotics and human-centered industrial systems.

Overall, my work focuses on the development and application of human-centered technologies for complex industrial and aerospace environments.
